I planted these on Labor Day. They are a collection of grasses. We'll see which ones spread, which ones just survive, which ones thrive, and which ones die. Two of the grasses were on 50% clearance because they were already on their way to dying. I have in clockwise order from the back left bamboo muhly, indian grass (on sale), gulf muhly (on sale), mexican feather grass, gulf mulhy (happy one), maiden grass "gold bar" (my favorite a light yellow with green stripes which you can't really see in this picture), and inland see oats in the foreground.
I have an unplanted primrose jasmine in the back, waiting for my hands to be less sore to be planted. I also planted some little bluestem grass seeds in front of the triangle bed. I am hoping to eventually get a desert willow to put in the triangle bed. I'm also considering planting rock rose near the Primrose Jasmine.
Grasses are supposed to be good for erosion control as is the primrose jasmine and all drought-tolerant.
